Biathlon in Rupholding: The new composition of the Ukrainian team begins the World Cup stage

Rupholding, Germany, will host the V stage of the World Cup in biathlon from January 14 to 18, 2023. During this time, relays, sprints, and pursuit races will take place, where Ukrainian biathletes will represent the new team composition.

The competitions will start on January 14 at 15:30, and the following days, January 15, 16, and 17, are also scheduled for 15:30. The last day of competitions, January 18, will include two races: at 13:30 and at 16:00.

Composition of the Ukrainian team

There have been changes in the men's team: Taras Lesyuk will replace Denys Nasyk. The composition of the Ukrainian men's team looks as follows:

  • Vitalii Mandzyn
  • Bohdan Borkovskyi
  • Bohdan Tsymbal
  • Anton Dudchenko
  • Taras Lesyuk

There has also been an addition to the women's team: Valeria Dmytrenko has joined the team, which consists of:

  • Yuliia Dzhyma
  • Khrystyna Dmytrenko
  • Olena Horodnia
  • Oleksandra Merkusheva
  • Daryna Chalyk

Today, Ukraine has 10 Olympic licenses – 5 each for women and men. This stage of the World Cup will be an important event for Ukrainian biathletes who aim to demonstrate high results on the international stage.
