Belarus is creating an ammunition factory for the Russian Federation: project completion is planned for 2026

Білорусь планує запустити виробництво боєприпасів для Росії до 2026 року.

In Belarus, a project to create a full-fledged production of artillery and rocket ammunition has begun, which may become a source of weapons for the Russian army in the war against Ukraine. This information was provided by a representative of the Belarusian opposition organization Belpol, Vladimir Zhigar.

«Uchastok», a secret project that started in November 2023, involves the creation of production of artillery and rocket ammunition of calibers 122 mm and 152 mm for the purpose of export and use in the war against Ukraine. This project is important for Russia and is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation», Zhigar emphasized.

Threat to Ukraine: project details

The completion of the project «Uchastok» is planned for December 2026. This initiative may significantly strengthen Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. The factory is founded by the company «Volatavto» and the state enterprise «Precision Electro-Mechanical Plant», and the project is managed by the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

According to Belpol, the production is located in the Slutsk district of the Minsk region, on the territory of a former military arsenal near the villages of Pavlivka and Shyshchytsia. The main partners in the project are Russia and China.

«The Russian medium-range missile «Oreshnik» is already on the territory of Belarus», said the self-proclaimed president of the country Alexander Lukashenko.

The establishment of ammunition production in Belarus may negatively affect Ukraine's security due to possible supplies of weapons for Russia. The project has strategic significance for the Russian Federation and is being implemented in cooperation with Moscow, which potentially threatens a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbas.
