Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we remember Oleksandr Voroshchuk.

Oleksandr Voroshchuk was born on May 24, 1984, in Rivne, participated in the ATO from 2014 to 2015, and voluntarily went to the front on March 3, 2022. The 40-year-old junior sergeant was killed on May 29, 2024, in the Pokrovsk direction. His death was confirmed in September 2025 thanks to DNA expertise.

«He was very honest, always told the truth to people's faces, defended his position, and fought for justice. He went to war for his family because he believed protecting them was his duty. He loved cats, children, and his mother,» recalls his wife Olesya.

Oleksandr Voroshchuk was buried in the Alley of Heroes in Rivne. He is remembered not only by his loved ones but also in the hearts of all Ukrainians who honor him and other fallen heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence.

«Hlavkom» joins in a moment of silence, honoring the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for their homeland and as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
