Starting from September 28, Binance will discontinue deposits and withdrawals in hryvnia through the Fiat Trade UAH service and will remove the USDT/UAH trading pair from the spot market. Hryvnia balances eligible for automatic conversion will be exchanged at a fixed rate. This is another change in the exchange's fiat services after the withdrawal restrictions for cards. Binance announced this.
Which hryvnia operations will Binance suspend
According to the exchange's announcement, from September 28 at 09:00 UTC+2, it will no longer be possible to deposit or withdraw hryvnia through Fiat Trade UAH. Additionally, Binance will remove the USDT/UAH trading pair. Open orders for this pair will be automatically canceled after trading is halted.
The announcement specifically mentions Fiat Trade UAH and the USDT/UAH trading pair. Binance has not announced the suspension of all hryvnia operations on the platform. In particular, P2P trading is not mentioned in the announcement; this is a separate format for exchanging between users, which is described in the material about P2P operations with hryvnia.
What rate will be used for converting UAH balances
Balances in hryvnia that meet Binance's conditions for automatic conversion will be exchanged for USDT by September 30 at 18:00 UTC+2. The rate will be 1 USDT = 46.5 UAH. If a user wants to utilize the automatic exchange, no separate actions are required.
At the same time, Binance advises users to check their hryvnia balances and open orders in advance. Since automatic conversion only applies to balances meeting the exchange's conditions, users should verify the rules in their accounts and complete necessary operations by the specified deadlines.
