Summit on Transforming Ukraine's Economy
On April 15, 2023, the business media outlet delo.ua and the business/media bureau Ekonomika+ organized a summit dedicated to discussing the transformation of Ukraine's economy, business development under conditions of uncertainty, and identifying new growth areas. The event's high level of interest was reflected in the participation of entrepreneurs, investors, top managers, and government officials.
The event was opened by Oksana Hutzayt of ICTV and Tetiana Smirnova of Ekonomika+. The keynote speaker was Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov. During his address, he stressed the critical need for Ukraine to shift from a raw materials-based economic model to producing high-value-added goods.
“It is critically important for Ukraine to move away from a raw materials model and focus on producing high-value-added goods. This primarily means developing the engineering and defense technology sectors, which will allow the country to secure a competitive position in the global arms market,” – Kyrylo Budanov.
