A Food Blogger Spent Two Days Hunting Down Roshen Ice Cream

Roshen Unveils a New Product Line

Roshen has launched its own ice cream range, sparking considerable buzz among consumers. Food blogger Gourman Boris Bravo shared his experience tracking down and tasting the new offerings in a video review. It turns out the ice cream was in short supply at Roshen's flagship stores in Kyiv, leading the blogger on a two-day quest.

During his search, Gourman Boris Bravo barely slept, averaging just five hours a night. At 6:00 AM, he headed to the Roshen factory store in Kyiv, only to find that by 7:43 AM, all stock was sold out. It wasn’t until his fourth attempt that he finally located the ice cream near Olimpiiska metro station.

Range and Pricing

The new ice cream lineup includes:

  • Classic cups Milk Splash (vanilla and chocolate) — 39.85 UAH for 90 g (made according to DSTU 4733, with no vegetable fats).
  • Ice cream bars coated in milk chocolate glaze — 48.50 UAH for 70 g.
  • Premium bars (exclusive flavors) — 59.00 UAH.

Among the new flavors, Popcorn Caramel stands out as a highlight.

Gourman Boris Bravo noted: 'Personally, I find this ice cream genuinely tastier than other brands. Maybe because it’s richer in fat.'

He also commented on the taste of the ice cream bar, comparing it to KitKat sweets, and remarked: 'I’ve never had ice cream with so much sweet sauce. It feels like they melted popcorn mixed with caramel and poured cream and overly sweet caramel chocolate over it. It’s a sugar bomb—you’d better prepare yourself... I couldn’t finish a whole one.'

Separately, recent news also highlights a controversy over chocolate candy prices, which have reached 1,200 UAH per kilogram. One Kyiv resident, Olena Pashchenko, voiced her outrage over this. Additionally, former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko posted a photo holding two packs of Milky Splash and Lacmi ice cream.

All in all, Roshen’s new ice cream line has not only captured consumer interest but also sparked lively discussions in media and social networks, underscoring its popularity and significance for the Ukrainian market. With rising prices for other confectionery items, this product could play a key role in expanding the company’s offerings and attracting new customers. It also highlights Roshen’s competitiveness in the ice cream segment, as consumers seek high-quality, tasty alternatives.

In light of Roshen's exciting new ice cream line, it's worth noting that the unveiling of this product was marked by a memorable moment when former President Poroshenko showcased the first-ever Roshen ice cream. This launch has not only generated significant consumer interest but also sparked discussions around pricing and quality in the confectionery market.
