Combat Activity in Ukraine as of March 17, 2023

By 10:00 PM on March 17, 2023, Ukrainian forces had reported 268 combat engagements, indicating a continuation of intense fighting. The invading forces carried out 48 airstrikes, deploying 170 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they used 5,036 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,863 artillery strikes on settlements and military positions.

Significant enemy losses were recorded across various front sectors. On the Pokrovsk front, 197 occupiers were eliminated, with a further 70 wounded. The following equipment was also destroyed in this sector:

  • 1 tank;
  • 3 armored combat vehicles;
  • 14 automotive units;
  • 1 communications antenna;
  • 1 piece of special equipment.

Two armored combat vehicles and nine automotive units were damaged. In total, 191 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed on the Pokrovsk front.

Situation on Other Frontline Sectors

The Lyman front was also active, with six attacks repelled towards Lyman, Kolodiazh, and Drobycheve. On the Sloviansk front, seven attempts to advance were recorded near Platonivka, Zakytne, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. The Kramatorsk front saw two assault actions halted near Minkivka and Novomarkove.

On the Kostiantynivka front, the enemy conducted 44 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Sofiyivka, Pleshiyivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Rusiny Yar, Stepanivka, and Novopavlivka. The Oleksandrivka front experienced three offensives near Zlahoda, Zelenyi Hai, and Krasnohirske, along with airstrikes on Orestopil, Prosiana, and Mechetne.

The Huliaipole front endured 31 attacks near Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Myrne, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, Zelene, and Dobropillia, with airstrikes on Vozdvyzhivska, Yegorivka, Kopani, Huliaipilske, and Zelena Dibrova. Six engagements are ongoing there. On the Orikhiv front, two attacks were repelled near Stepove, and airstrikes were recorded on Veselianka and Orikhiv.
