Operational Update for April 2
On April 2, the 1499th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine, a total of 213 combat engagements occurred. Russian forces launched 36 airstrikes and dropped 119 guided aerial bombs during the day. They also deployed 3,545 kamikaze drones to attack targets. In total, Russian troops carried out 2,822 attacks on Ukrainian settlements and military positions. The scale of these attacks underscores the intensity of the ongoing conflict.
Enemy Casualties and Combat Actions
Significant enemy losses were recorded across various frontlines. On the Pokrovsk front, 92 occupiers were eliminated, with an additional 43 wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed on this front:
- an artillery system;
- 7 automotive vehicles;
- 2 units of special equipment;
- a motor vehicle;
- 2 personnel shelters.
Additionally, a combat armored vehicle, an artillery system, a cannon, 5 automotive vehicles, and 53 personnel shelters were damaged. In total, 157 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed on the Pokrovsk front.
On the North-Slobozhanske and Kursk fronts, 3 combat engagements and 76 attacks were recorded, 3 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. On the South-Slobozhanske front, 5 assaults were recorded in the areas of Starytsia and Veterinary. On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled 7 assaults in the directions of Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Nova Krugliakivka, and Novoosynove.
On the Lyman front, 8 attempts to advance were recorded in the directions of Nadiia, Novosergiivka, Novoiehorivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Drobycheve, with 3 combat engagements still ongoing. On the Sloviansk front, Ukrainian troops repelled 4 assaults in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Platonivka. On the Kostiantsynivka front, 15 assaults were repelled near Kostiantsynivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiyivka, Novopavlivka, and Mykolaipillya, with 1 combat engagement continuing.
On the Pokrovsk front, 49 attacks were recorded in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Filiya, Bilytske, Shevchenko, and Novopidhorodne, with 2 combat engagements ongoing. On the Oleksandrivske front, 21 attempts to improve positions occurred in the areas of Oleksandragrad, Sichneve, Vorone, Krasnohirsky, Ivanivka, Andriivka-Klеvtsova, Sosnivka, Stepove, Vyshneve, and Verbove, with airstrikes on Kolomiika and Katerynivka.
On the Huliaipilske front, 37 attacks were recorded toward Olenokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Pryluky, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Myrne, Zelene, Huliaipilske, and Charivne, with airstrikes on Liubytske and Vozdvyzhivka. On the Orikhiv front, 13 attacks occurred in the areas of Mali Shcherbaky, Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, Novodanylivka, Lukianivske, and Prymorske, with airstrikes on Omelnyk, Shyroke, Kopani, Rivne, Novoselivka, Orikhiv, and Preobrazhenka.
