Boryspil Court to Charge Owner Who Moved to Bulgaria for Utility Debt

Суд у Борисполі притягне до відповідальності власника, який переїхав до Болгарії через борги за комунальні послуги.

Boryspil Court Decision

The Boryspil City District Court has ordered the owner of the property, who moved to Bulgaria, to pay a utility debt of 9,233 hryvnias. The debt accumulated from October 2022 to December 31, 2024. This decision is part of case No. 359/960/25, which reflects the exacerbation of the problem of utility debts in Ukraine.

Statistics on Utility Debts

It is worth noting that 28.3% of all civil cases considered last year were related to utility debts. In turn, cases regarding bank loans and credits account for only 12% of the structure of claims. This indicates that utility debts have become a serious problem for many Ukrainians.

Among the main types of services for which debts have accumulated, the following can be highlighted:

  • contributions for the maintenance of the house and adjacent territory;
  • centralized heating;
  • removal of solid household waste.

This situation emphasizes the importance of timely payment for utilities, as the consequences of indebtedness can lead to court proceedings and further financial obligations.

This case illustrates the growing trend of utility debts in Ukraine, which may indicate financial difficulties among the population, especially in conditions of economic instability. The increase in the number of lawsuits related to debts may lead to strengthened legal control over utility payments and impact the socio-economic situation in the country.
