Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember the hero of Ukraine, Yuriy Ivlev.
On August 16, 2025, Yuriy Ivlev, a defender of Ukraine from the Lviv region, was killed. This information was reported by 'Glavcom' citing the Lviv City Council.
Yuriy Ivlev was born on May 6, 1989, in the village of Mali Pidliski in the Lviv region. He studied at the school in the settlement of Zapytiv in the Novoyarichiv settlement council of the Lviv region.
Yuriy worked in the construction industry at private enterprises. According to relatives, he was a kind person with a big heart and a sincere soul. He loved football, appreciated simple things, and was always ready to help those in need. That is how he will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
Service and struggle
In 2023, Yuriy Ivlev joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his homeland from Russian invaders. He was assigned to the southeastern Slobozhansky direction, where he fought for the territorial integrity of Ukraine as part of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after hetman Ivan Vyhovsky.
Tragically, Yuriy was killed on August 16, 2025. The honor of conducting his funeral was given on August 25 at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord of the UGCC, located in the village of Mali Pidliski. The defender was buried in the local cemetery.
Yuriy's brother survived.
