The government of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for the certification of customs officers. According to the Ministry of Finance, this document is important for ensuring the integrity and professional competence of customs employees.
According to the updated procedure, customs officers will undergo certification once to confirm their qualification. The certification process will include testing knowledge of legislation, logic, and interviews on professional competence and integrity.
'Special attention is paid to transparency and objectivity. All certification procedures will be recorded on video and audio, and the results will be published on the State Customs Service website,' - explained the Ministry of Finance.
It is worth noting that failing the certification can lead to dismissal, allowing for personnel renewal and the removal of unscrupulous employees. Journalists and representatives of the media can also participate in this process under certain conditions.
The new procedure for customs officer certification has been developed to increase the level of professionalism and integrity in the customs service and will contribute to improving the work of this sector in Ukraine.
