The State Bureau of Investigations has begun investigations into more than 570 criminal proceedings regarding evasion from mobilization since the beginning of Russia's invasion, amounting to tens of millions of hryvnias. This was reported by DBR director Oleksiy Sukhachov, emphasizing that employees of law enforcement agencies and local officials are often involved in such schemes.
"Frequently, such illegal schemes involve employees of law enforcement agencies, local officials, and workers of TCK and SP," Sukhachov explained.
Oleksiy Sukhachov also emphasized that undermining Ukraine's defense capability is unacceptable, as profiting from war is absolutely intolerable. He stressed that anyone who organizes or facilitates such schemes must understand that the punishment will be relentless.
The DBR is investigating schemes of evasion from mobilization, including the illegal transportation of men of conscription age across the border. The Bureau's director emphasized the unacceptability of such actions, believing that they harm the country's defense capability and all those fighting for it.
