In the Odesa region, a local resident was detained for illegal fishing using nets. The man caught fish worth over 215 thousand UAH. Law enforcement officers apprehended him during fishing when a spawning ban was in effect.
The perpetrator was found with nets and catch on a rubber boat without the necessary permits. After inspection, 42 units of fish were confiscated and sent for temporary storage to a specialized enterprise, as well as fishing equipment and gill nets measuring 400 meters in length. In total, the damages from illegal activity amounted to 215 thousand UAH.
