The Rubizh Brigade's Mission
Since late summer 2025, the Rubizh Brigade has been deployed to the Pokrovsk axis, operating alongside the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine's Azov unit. Their primary objective: preventing enemy forces from breaking through toward Dobropillia. Over the course of nine months, Ukrainian defenders have successfully halted a sustained offensive, blocking the adversary from advancing on Dobropillia, Rodynske, and several other settlements.
During this period, the brigade has repelled dozens of large-scale mechanized assaults, conducted successful clearance operations, and disrupted enemy supply lines. Their efforts have also foiled Russian plans to mass forces in the Donetsk coal mines. For more than half a year, Ukrainian troops have countered infiltration attempts, capturing occupiers and destroying their vehicles and drones.
