Support of international partners

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that the United Kingdom has confirmed the production of SCALP long-range missiles for Ukraine. Additionally, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed the unblocking of SCALP missiles and the licenses for their production. Zelensky noted that this is an important step in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, highlighting the support of international partners during a difficult time for the country.

FREYJA program and funding

During a media meeting with Estonian President Alar Karis, Zelensky also shared information about the decision made regarding the working schedule of the anti-ballistic FREYJA program. According to him, the schedule will be presented within 7-10 days and will include details regarding upcoming meetings and collaborations with various companies.

“And yesterday it was decided that within 7-10 days we will have a schedule for FREYJA,” Zelensky noted.

Norway has also confirmed funding of 9 billion dollars for 2027, which, according to the president, can assist in establishing an office for the FREYJA program. Additionally, Ukraine received confirmation regarding several Crotale air defense systems, AIM missiles used to intercept enemy missiles, as well as parts for Patriot missiles.

“We thank our partners for all this support,” emphasized Zelensky.

The key topics of discussion included:

  • SCALP
  • FREYJA program
  • air defense

Ukraine continues to actively cooperate with international partners such as the United Kingdom, France, Norway, and Estonia to strengthen its defense capabilities.

The support of international partners, particularly in the form of production and supply of modern missile systems, indicates a growing military cooperation between Ukraine and Western nations. It also reflects the strategic interests of partners in the stability of the region and ensuring Ukraine's security amid existing threats. The unblocking of SCALP production and the activation of the anti-ballistic FREYJA program could significantly impact the country's defense capabilities in the near future.

In the context of strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, it is also important to receive secret data from the United Kingdom that will aid in the assembly of SCALP missiles. This information could significantly enhance the effectiveness of new weapon systems in the face of modern challenges. More details about this can be found in our previous article.
