Pavegen: How people's steps are transformed into electricity for festivals

Pavegen has introduced a new system that converts the energy of movement into electricity, creating interactive and eco-friendly spaces. The basis of the technology is a special tile that activates when pressed and converts mechanical movement into rotational energy, powering a built-in generator.



The power of one module is 35 watts, and the accumulated electricity can be used to power various devices. According to the company, Pavegen has already implemented over 300 projects in 37 countries. The system is capable of integrating into public spaces such as music festivals and real estate objects, creating the possibility to produce energy while engaging visitors in the process.



The technology is being tested at music events: during Coldplay's world tour and Heineken's interactive installation, concert participants could create electricity and music through their movements, transforming kinetic energy into a real-time effect.
