Military lawyer Dmytro Prylipko in his video lecture on the TikTok platform explained that reservation and deferment work differently. Reservation is granted collectively to enterprises, while deferment is a personal measure granted to individuals under certain conditions.
Reservation allows enterprises to continue operating during wartime, protecting them from mobilization. At the same time, deferment can be granted to an individual for various reasons, but after the expiration of the term, it can be canceled.
According to the lawyer, deferment is a more reliable protection, as even in case of problems with military registration, it remains valid. However, there are cases when military enlistment offices ignore deferment applications, seizing people without proper grounds. In such situations, it is recommended to contact a court or lawyer to protect one’s rights.
