In the Brovary city district court of Kyiv region, an interesting page in the history of the fight against corruption has turned. The head and deputy of the Brovary district council were convicted of violating the law on conflict of interest, as they voted for their own bonuses and allowances. The court made its decision based on the protocols of the NACA and the Authorized Person for corruption prevention in the police.
"At the session of the district council, they voted 'for' a decision that provided for their bonuses and the establishment of allowances."
As a result of the investigation, the NACA established that the head of the district council and his deputy acted in conflict of interest, violating anti-corruption legislation. Their actions were deemed unacceptable and provoked administrative liability.
As a result of the offense, the officials not only lost their bonuses but also became the focus of attention from the court and society, which is an important step in the fight against corruption at the local level.
