The Bucha community has been provided with four modern buses from the Île-de-France region as part of international support from France. The transport was handed over within the framework of international cooperation with France to develop municipal transportation. This was reported by Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Buses for Bucha: How the New Transport Will Operate
According to Mykola Kalashnyk, three buses will be used on regular internal routes of the community. Another one is a specialized transport of the “resilience bus” format.
The provided transport meets modern standards of accessibility and barrier-free travel.
Key features:
-
equipment for people with disabilities;
-
facilities for passengers with strollers;
-
adaptation for comfortable transport of various population categories.
Travel on these routes for community residents will be free, which is expected to improve access to social services.
Resilience Bus: Mobile Point Opportunities
Separately, the community received a special “resilience bus”, which will be used in case of emergencies.
Its equipment includes:
-
autonomous power supply;
-
heat sources;
-
communication tools;
-
possibility of charging mobile devices;
-
equipment for making hot drinks.
The Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk, along with representatives of the authorities, has already checked the operation of the transport.
«Comfort, accessibility, and modern standards — this is how municipal transport should be», — noted Kalashnyk.
The transfer of buses has become part of the systematic cooperation of the Kyiv region with French partners aimed at enhancing the resilience of communities.
As a reminder, in March, eight large buses arrived in Lviv, provided to the city by the Italian side.
