Hopes for a Prisoner Exchange
Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Presidential Office, has expressed hope for a large-scale prisoner exchange to take place by Easter. He emphasized the critical role of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, established four years ago. He was captured during the defense of Mariupol in 2022; his weight dropped from 103 kg before service to just 46 kg in captivity.
On March 6 of this year, Ukraine and Russia conducted a prisoner exchange, which saw 300 Ukrainian defenders and two civilians return home.
