In Borodyanka, an Industry Agreement was signed between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Trade Union of Workers in Construction and Building Materials Industry of Ukraine. According to the ministry's data, the agreement will be in effect from 2025 to 2027 and provides for updated social and labor guarantees for industry workers, including salary increases.
According to the new version of the Agreement, the guaranteed amount of the tariff rate for workers performing simple and unskilled work will increase from 231% to 401% of the subsistence minimum for a capable person. This means an increase in the minimum salary from 6995 UAH to 12142 UAH per month.
As noted by the Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development, Natalia Kozlovskaya, the agreement also includes measures for the legalization of employment in construction, improving workers' qualifications, mechanisms to ensure safety and labor hygiene, as well as tools for collective protection of labor rights.
The signing of the Industry Agreement between the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and the Construction Workers Union creates favorable conditions for enhancing social protection and working conditions for workers in the construction industry. In particular, the increase in the tariff rate and minimum wage will significantly ease the financial situation of workers in this sector, and the introduction of new measures will contribute to improving working conditions and safety for workers.
