The Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine, in partnership with the Trade Union of Construction Workers and Building Materials Industry, has signed a Sector Agreement to raise builders' salaries.
According to the agency's information, the agreement will be in effect until 2027 and provides updated social and labor guarantees for industry workers. One of the main points of the agreement is the increase in the guaranteed size of the tariff rate (salary) for workers.
'In accordance with the new edition of the Agreement, the guaranteed size of the tariff rate for workers performing simple and unqualified work increases from 231% to 401% of the minimum living wage for working individuals. According to calculations, this increase means raising the minimum salary from 6,995 UAH to 12,142 UAH per month,' the ministry said.
The agreement also includes measures for the legalization of employment in construction, raising workers' qualifications, mechanisms to ensure safety and hygiene at work, as well as tools for collective protection of labor rights.
The salary increase for builders until 2027 not only envisages an increase in labor pay but also strengthens social benefits and rights of industry workers, as well as improves working conditions and labor safety at construction sites.
