Boombox Concert Announcement

The Ukrainian band Boombox has revealed plans for their first solo concerts in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. These significant events for the band and their fans are scheduled for May 16th and 17th at Kyiv's Blockbuster Mall. For the first time in a long period, the group will be able to perform for their home audience.

Guest Artists and Ticket Sales

The band will be joined on stage by several guest performers:

  • Sasha Chemerov
  • Zhenya Galich
  • Domiy
  • Frolov

Tickets for the May 16th show are already sold out, but tickets for the May 17th concert remain available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will be directed to the 'Andriy Khlyvnyuk Foundation,' which funds equipment for Ukraine's Defense Forces.

Boombox was founded in Kyiv in 2004 by Andriy Khlyvnyuk, Andriy Samoylo, and Valentyn Matiyuk. The Ukrainian Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has officially recognized the band as critically important for the nation's economy and public welfare during this exceptional period.

'It's hard to believe, but these are the band's first two solo performances in Ukraine throughout the entire full-scale war. They are hugely important for both the band and the listeners. It's not just about presenting the new maxi-single 'Alive,' nor the stage design, which they promise will be so unusual it will include spaces for fans—watch for the ads—it's about Boombox finally playing at home. Two massive concerts!'
