The share of Ukrainians in opening new businesses in Poland has significantly increased

Ukrainians remain one of the most active groups of foreign entrepreneurs in Poland. Over the past year, Ukrainian citizens registered about 33 thousand new companies, which actually accounts for one in ten new businesses in the country. This is reported by InPoland.

Ukrainian business in Poland: scale and sectors

Ukrainians most often opened companies in sectors where it is easier to start and there is stable demand:

  • construction

  • IT

  • services

  • trade

According to business registries, September 2025 became a record month for the number of new companies created by Ukrainian citizens. It was during this period that the pace of business registration was the highest for the entire year.

Ukrainians' contribution to Poland's economy: expert assessments

International organizations assess this dynamic as positive for both parties. The United Nations notes that the entrepreneurial activity of Ukrainians in Poland is a winning model for both the host country and the migrants themselves. Business contributes to integration, job creation, and growth in tax revenues.

Experts also indicate a noticeable economic effect. According to the results of 2024, the contribution of Ukrainians ensured a 2.7% GDP growth in Poland. The employment rate among Ukrainian refugees reached 69%, and the median salary rose to 4000 zlotys.

Recall that the participation rate of Ukrainians in the labor force in Poland exceeds that of the Poles themselves and stands at 75–85%.
