The battles for the city of Kupiansk continue

According to Glavkom, heavy fighting for the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region is ongoing. Currently, there are no Russian terrorists in the city center, reported the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) Andrii Kovalenko.

“There are currently no Russians in the center of Kupiansk. Heavy fighting for Kupiansk continues,” the message states.

Recently, there were reports that the Russians had already reached the city center and armed clashes were ongoing there. However, the spokesperson for the Joint Forces Operation 'Dnipro', Lieutenant Colonel Oleksii Bielskii, stated that this information is false.

The strategic goal of the occupation

The occupation of Kupiansk is a strategic task for the Russian occupiers in the region, Glavkom reports, citing the spokesperson of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces 'Dnipro' Oleksii Bielskii. Russian troops previously used underground pipelines to advance beyond Ukrainian defensive positions in other regions.

Analysts from DeepState reported that Russian occupiers are using gas pipelines to approach Kupiansk across the Oskil River. Their route to the city takes about four days, according to information from DeepState.

The battles for the city of Kupiansk continue, and Russian terrorists have not yet managed to reach its center. The occupation of the city is of great strategic importance for the Russian occupiers, who are utilizing gas pipelines to draw closer to it after previous successful operations in other regions.
