Resilience Hubs Across Ukraine
Throughout Ukraine, Resilience Hubs are providing essential support and assistance to communities during difficult times. Natalia, a specialist working in the Chernivtsi community, exemplifies a professional who understands the value of support from personal experience and actively helps others find it.
This project is a flagship initiative of Ukraine’s Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity, developed in partnership with the Coordination Center of the Cabinet of Ministers and Mental Health UA. The Resilience Hubs are part of the nationwide mental health program “How Are You?”, launched by First Lady Olena Zelenska. This program addresses the growing need for mental health resources amid the ongoing war and its social impacts.
The Role of Resilience Hubs
Every day, specialists at the Resilience Hubs serve as pillars for their communities across the country—listening, offering support, and helping people find the resources they need. They serve as a reminder that even in the toughest moments, no one has to face their challenges alone.
As a component of the mental health program, the Resilience Hubs are highly significant given the current challenges facing Ukrainian communities. They not only provide psychosocial support but also build a network of mutual aid, which is critical for restoring social capital and strengthening communities as a whole. The guidance offered by professionals at these centers can be a turning point for individuals enduring difficult life circumstances, underscoring the national importance of this initiative.
