Kramatorsk's Ukrposhta Closures: Four Branches Halt Work
Ukrposhta is Ukraine's national postal service, and its branches provide mail and financial services nationwide. The company has now suspended operations at four locations in Kramatorsk, a city in the Donetsk region, because of the current security environment. The Kramatorsk City Council announced the move on Telegram. The affected offices are at:
- 84303 — 2 Metalurhiv Avenue;
- 84308 — 104 Nyzhnia Street;
- 84311 — 13 Deputatska Street;
- 84318 — 149 Sofiivska Street.
People in Kramatorsk can still receive postal and financial services from other branches that continue operating, the city council said. The decision was forced by the security situation in the area. In late June, JSC Ukrposhta also halted service at the last remaining branch in Druzhkivka, another town in the Donetsk region, which highlights how difficult conditions have become in this part of the country.
“Because of the security situation, JSC Ukrposhta has been forced to suspend the work of four branches in the Kramatorsk community,” the city council said.
The situation in the region remains tense, and the branches that stay open play an important role for local residents.
