BC 'Cherkasy Monkeys' are not changing head coach Dmytro Nahornyi, the club's press service reports, citing 'Glavkom'. Nahornyi took over the team in October last year and in his debut season led it to bronze medals of the Super League.
In the current season, the 'Monkeys' finished fourth in the regular championship and won against BC 'Rivne-OSHVSM' in the playoffs. This victory helped the Cherkasy team to claim bronze medals, returning to the podium of the championship after triumph in the 2017/18 season.

In a match against Slovakia, the national basketball team of Ukraine won with a score of 98:86 and advanced to the main round of qualifying for the World Championship. The game took place in Bratislava, Slovakia.
