Czech Companies to Assist Ukrainian Energy Recovery
Czech President Petr Pavel has announced that Czech companies will participate in the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which has been severely damaged by Russian attacks. Pavel specified that firms specializing in natural gas extraction, renewable energy, as well as heating and water heating systems, will be involved in the effort. President Pavel made this announcement during a visit to Kyiv on January 16, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss bilateral cooperation. Prior to his stop in the capital, the Czech leader also visited the city of Lviv. His trip occurred just two days after Ukraine declared a state of emergency in its energy sector, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
