The fourth double-decker bus has hit the route in Kyiv: where it operates

The fourth double-decker bus has hit the Kyiv route No. 57, connecting the Akademmishechko metro station and the Authorinok. This is the last from the batch of vehicles that the capital received from Berlin as part of partnership assistance. This was reported by the KP Management Office.

The new bus was not previously used for passenger transport and completes the series of double-decker vehicles that gradually hit the capital routes during the autumn. The first was tested in late October: it was a MAN A39, handed over to Kyiv by the sister city of Berlin.

Double-decker bus in Kyiv: specifications and features

The double-decker MAN A39 is designed for a large number of passengers and has:

  • 83 seated places (28 on the first floor and 55 on the second);

  • 45 standing places – only on the first floor;

  • low floor and two ramps;

  • two places for wheelchair users;

  • a place for a children's stroller.

The bus fully complies with accessibility principles, allowing comfortable transport use by people with limited mobility.

 

Double-decker bus in Kyiv: when the others appeared

After a test trip in late October, the second bus hit route No. 57, followed by the third. Now the fourth completes the delivery. All vehicles were received by the capital from Berlin as a gift as part of partnership support.
