The State Border Guard Service reports that the granting of permission for men aged 18 to 22 to travel abroad has not led to a significant increase in passenger traffic. The number of people crossing the border remains stable, especially during the summer season when the overall passenger traffic remains at a high level, increasing during weekends and holidays.

According to statistics, the average number of people crossing the border on weekdays is between 125,000 and 135,000 per day, while on weekends this figure reaches 150,000 per day. In contrast, in the spring, the numbers were only 75,000 to 80,000 per day.

The government has allowed men aged 18 to 22 to cross the border during martial law, provided they have a military registration document in either paper or electronic form. This regulation does not apply to individuals holding special positions in government structures, who may only travel abroad for work-related assignments. The highest number of illegal border crossings has been identified on the border with Romania, compared to the lower number on the border with Poland. The State Statistics Service also plans to conduct a population assessment of Ukraine by the end of this year, which is an important step in the current conditions.
