Prices for seasonal fruits and berries in summer 2025

In July this year, an active season of fresh fruits and berries began in Ukraine. Although the selection is huge, prices remain high, as shown by data from the site zakaz.ua.

Ukrainians have been shown what is happening with prices for seasonal fruits and berries in supermarkets in July.

Strawberries can be bought at a price ranging from 239 to 320 hryvnias per kilogram, there are also packages of 500 grams from 187 to 266 hryvnias. Raspberries cost from 314.90 to 477.90 hryvnias, making it one of the most expensive berries of this season.

Cherries and sweet cherries have become more expensive due to spring frosts affecting yields. Prices for sweet cherries range from 229.90 to 379 hryvnias per kilogram, while cherries are sold for 139-149 hryvnias per kilogram.

Various berries such as currants, blueberries, and gooseberries are available in a wide range with prices from 75.60 to 750 hryvnias per kilogram. For example, black currants cost from 279 to 295.80 hryvnias per kilogram, blueberries from 289 to 750 hryvnias, and gooseberries from 189 to 299 hryvnias.

Apricots are among the most affordable fruits, with prices starting at 139 hryvnias for 500 grams. Peaches, figs, and nectarines are also sold at various prices from 109.90 to 195.50 hryvnias per kilogram.

Slowdown in price growth

Currently, food prices in Ukraine are rising at a slow pace, allowing Ukrainians to buy them at more reasonable prices.

In July 2025, the season of fresh fruits and berries continues in Ukraine, but prices remain high. This is partly due to the reduced yield of sweet cherries and cherries because of spring frosts. However, the slowdown in price growth allows consumers to purchase products at more affordable prices.
