In Ukraine, a sharp jump in fuel prices was recorded amid the worsening geopolitical situation in the world. In just one day, the average prices for main types of fuel increased by 2–3 UAH per liter, while premium gasoline at major networks has already approached 81 UAH/l. This is reported by Glavred.
Gas prices on March 4: where to refuel cheaper
As of March 4, the prices for A-95 gasoline vary depending on the operator:
“Ukrnafta” (A-95) – 67.99 UAH/l
WOG (95 Euro) – 68.99 UAH/l
OKKO (A-95) – 70.99 UAH/l
SOCAR (A-95) – 70.99 UAH/l
Premium gasoline 100 has also significantly increased in price: at WOG it costs 78.99 UAH/l, while at OKKO and SOCAR – 80.99 UAH/l.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average prices (compared to the previous day) increased as follows: premium A-95 – to 69.57 UAH/l (+1.93 UAH), A-95 – to 65.07 UAH/l (+2.20 UAH), A-92 – to 61.76 UAH/l (+1.77 UAH).
Cost of diesel and gas: what is happening with prices at gas stations
Diesel shows a similar trend. The cheapest diesel at “Ukrnafta” costs 67.99 UAH/l. At WOG it is 68.99 UAH/l, while at OKKO and SOCAR it is 70.99 UAH/l. Premium varieties of diesel, according to the given data, cost within 71.99–75.99 UAH/l.
In the autogas market, prices have almost leveled: WOG and SOCAR sell at 40.98 UAH/l, “Ukrnafta” at 40.99 UAH/l, OKKO at 41.99 UAH/l. The average price of autogas, according to the Ministry of Finance, has risen to 39.05 UAH/l (+0.54 UAH).
The Head of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine Andriy Novak advises not to panic and not to stock up in cans, expecting that after the end of the hot phase of the war, the market will stabilize. He also notes that there are suppliers ready to fill the released niche of petroleum products.
