Household Gas Suppliers
As summer begins, gas suppliers for residential customers have released their pricing for June. Eight companies are currently active in the market: four offer only annual contracts, while the remaining four provide both annual and monthly variable plans. Annual rates have remained unchanged, ranging from 7.96 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter.
Monthly Pricing Trends
Monthly rates, however, have decreased compared to May. They now fall between 8.46 and 28.49 UAH per cubic meter. The lowest monthly rate of 7.96 UAH is offered by:
- GC Naftogaz of Ukraine
- Ternopiloblgaz Zbut
Slightly higher prices can be found at:
- Prykarpat Energo Trade (7.98 UAH)
- Galnaftogaz PP OKKO Contract (7.99 UAH)
YASNO, which serves Kyiv and Dnipro, charges 8.46 UAH.
The highest monthly rates are recorded at:
- Lvivenergozbut (28.00 UAH)
- Retail Service TM SvitloGas (28.49 UAH)
It is worth noting that these companies' annual base offers are significantly lower: 8.20 UAH and 9.99 UAH, respectively. Annual plans are considered the standard for households. The vast majority of residential consumers—about 98%, or over 12 million households—are clients of GC Naftogaz of Ukraine, whose rate of 7.96 UAH per cubic meter will remain in effect at least until April 30, 2027.
These shifts in the gas market highlight the competitive dynamics among suppliers and their responses to market conditions. The reduction in monthly rates may encourage consumers to opt for more flexible pricing instead of fixed annual contracts, potentially reshaping the country's gas consumption patterns. With energy prices on the rise, keeping an eye on further adjustments and market reactions to new pricing offers is essential.
As households navigate the shifting landscape of gas prices, it's noteworthy that the costs associated with gas storage for Ukrainians have seen a significant decline of 10%. This trend may further influence consumer decisions regarding energy usage and pricing plans in the coming months.
