Former official in Odesa organized fictitious booking of conscripts
The State Bureau of Investigation found that a former official of the military district administration in Odesa had devised schemes for fictitious booking of conscripts.
'The individual established two income schemes for draft dodgers, one of which was previously opened. The mentioned official offered conscripts the opportunity to leave the country for 16,000 USD using fictitious booking,' the SBI reported.
The former official is now suspected of receiving illegal benefits, and a preventive measure of detention for 60 days has been chosen with the possibility of bail set at 1.5 million UAH.
Other possible accomplices have been added to the case
Currently, the pre-trial investigation is considering other individuals who may be involved in this scheme.
