The Ukrainian U-16 team has started a training camp in Riga, Latvia, which will last in preparation for the European Championship in Division B. Currently, there are 21 players in the team camp, 12 of whom will enter the final roster for participation in the European tournament in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The expanded roster of the Ukrainian team:
- Initial coaches and players from various teams, including from Germany, England, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Poland, the USA, and Ukraine, are part of the team.
- The head coach is Oleg Shevchenko, assistants are Pavel Revzin and Yury Vakarchuk.
In Group C, the Ukrainian team will play against the Netherlands, Denmark, Iceland, Croatia, and Kosovo. Before the championship, the cadet team will hold friendly matches against Georgia and participate in the Baltic Cup tournament in Estonia.
In a friendly match, the team played against Turkey, losing with a score of 49:95. Despite the difficult conditions, the players demonstrated their skills. Notably, players Tatunchak and Hanitski stood out in this game.
