In Kryvyi Rih, passengers have been unable to fully track urban transport through EasyWay for several years. The company claims that it does not have access to data on the actual movement of buses and trolleybuses and does not receive responses to its requests. This was reported by the D1 channel citing local media.

Why EasyWay does not show public transport in Kryvyi Rih

Previously, through EasyWay, residents of the city could see the movement of public transport and the approximate arrival time at the needed stop. Now, only suburban routes are mainly displayed for Kryvyi Rih in the service.

EasyWay explains the problem by the lack of access to real-time information on the movement of urban transport. The company claims it has repeatedly reached out to obtain this data but received no responses to its requests.

Initially, representatives of the service named Kryvyi Rih as the only city in Ukraine with such a problem. Later, the company clarified that a similar situation occurred in Ternopil as well. EasyWay associates this issue with the implementation of legislation on open data.

What alternatives are offered to Kryvyi Rih passengers instead of EasyWay

The problem has persisted for at least a few years. In 2023, residents of Kryvyi Rih even registered an electronic petition demanding the return of the ability to use EasyWay for tracking public transport.

The city council reviewed the petition at the plenary session on August 30, 2023, but the deputies did not support it. Instead, Kryvyi Rih has its own digital service, «Kryvorizhtsy Card», where information about public transport is also available.

However, users complain about the shortcomings of this service. Among them are incorrect display of certain routes and stops, as well as incomplete data on the current location of transport.

Journalists approached the Kryvyi Rih city council for an official explanation regarding EasyWay's access to transport data. At the time of publication of the provided information, the position of the city authorities regarding the reasons for restricting access had not been communicated.

It should be noted that in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, from August 15, 2026, carriers raised the fare in some private minibuses. In Dnipro, passengers report a fare of 25 UAH, while in Kryvyi Rih, the fare has increased to 23 UAH.
