The Ukrainian national team conquered the World Championship for juniors and youth in Ganja (Azerbaijan). Our athletes won a total of four medals! Our girls performed impressively, receiving awards in various categories.
- Gold: Polina Mezhievich, Hanna Bazunova, Diana Korshun, Maria Fedosenko, Anastasia Chyhyrik (group exercises).
- Silver: Tiunova Rimmel, Mashai Ksenia, Kravtsova Daria, Mezhievich Polina, Korshun Diana, Fedosenko Maria, Gerasimova Arina, Chyhyrik Anastasia (aerodance).
- Bronze: Hanna Bazunova (women's exercises); Rimmel Tiunova, Ksenia Mashai, Daria Kravtsova (triples).
In the overall team standings, the Ukrainian U15 boys took second place, while the juniors finished fifth. This is yet another step towards success after an impressive performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where our athletes amazed with their medals.
Successes in Various Sports
Our athletes excelled at the Festival in various sports: judo – six medals, including bronze in the team tournament. They also received awards in swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, gymnastics, and table tennis.
It is worth noting the successes of Ukrainian athletes at the Summer Universiade in Germany, where they achieved 12 awards and 14th place in the overall standings. Our athletes impressed with their achievements and stood out in world competitions!
