The ceremonial awarding of service dogs took place at the Cynological Association of Ukraine. This year, 27 dogs received awards for merits in five different categories from various military units, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The most awards were given to service dogs of the National Guard, who carried out tasks in combat zones, at checkpoints, and in special operations. Awards were also given to border guard dog handlers and their fluffy partners.
Among the honored
"Among the honored of the State Emergency Service: dog handler Yevhen Sholudko and Alf in the category of 'Mine-Detection Dogs', and Maksym Vinnytskyi and Labrador Noris in the nomination 'For Saved Life'.
Police service dogs distinguished themselves in all categories, achieving significant accomplishments in drug detection, saving lives, and detecting explosives.
The awarding ceremony for service dogs demonstrates the recognition of their important role in law enforcement and national security as a whole.
