Family Traditions According to Dyadya Zhora

Dyadya Zhora, a Ukrainian artist and father to three daughters, recently shared insights into his family life, including his parenting approach and cherished traditions. Together with his wife Natalia, they raise Ulyana, Ustyna, and Amina. The performer emphasized that their household thrives on openness and democratic values.

“We’re all transparent with each other. They always come to us, we always talk—whether it’s about relationships with boys, what to drink, or how to drive. The eldest has already passed her driving test, and we’re teaching the middle one now,” he revealed.

A key ritual in their home is the Friday night kitchen gathering.

“We have a tradition—Friday meetups in the kitchen. And in the song, there’s this line from real life: ‘Together in the Carpathians, together around the world, or just on the kitchen drinking wine.’ It’s about our custom where the whole family comes together to share updates,” Dyadya Zhora explained.

Prom Memories

The artist also reflected on his own prom night, highlighting its significance. “We were all congratulated in the assembly hall, then moved to the gym. We sat around, danced, and at dawn we went to watch the sunrise. Afterwards, we all went on a hike,” he recalled. Dyadya Zhora stressed that graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime event worthy of a vibrant celebration: “As a host and event organizer, I always say: don’t hold back on emotions.”

Alongside these memories, Dyadya Zhora unveiled a new song and music video titled 'Vypusknyy' (Graduation). He explained his goal was to craft a lasting anthem: “I wanted to create a song that would live on for years. A song where today’s graduates see themselves, and parents feel those special emotions when they look at their children and realize how quickly time has passed.”

This narrative underscores the importance of family bonds and traditions within modern Ukrainian households. Despite his fame, Dyadya Zhora stays grounded, demonstrating that even in the entertainment world, meaningful emotions and family moments take priority. His latest track may resonate deeply with young people navigating graduation, as it captures the genuine feelings and memories tied to this pivotal life milestone.
