There has been another incident of unauthorized drone flights near strategic military sites in Denmark. This incident occurred last night and is a continuation of a series of similar airspace violations in the country.

According to the Danish Ministry of Defence, unidentified drones were detected near several military establishments. The military command refrains from disclosing the exact location and number of identified drones, but confirmed the involvement of several units of the Armed Forces to respond to the incidents.

Threat to Karup Military Airbase

Among the sites where illegal drone activity was observed was the Karup military airbase - the main base of the Royal Danish Air Force. Drones were present in the air both directly over the airbase's territory and in adjacent areas beyond the perimeter. According to the Central and Western Jutland police, one to two drones were observed in the area around 20:00.

In response to the threat, the airspace was temporarily closed to civilian aviation, though this did not cause significant practical inconveniences due to the lack of regular civilian flights in Karup. The police are cooperating with the army in investigating the incident and are urging witnesses who may have observed suspicious activity on Friday evening to provide information.

The event that took place in Denmark indicates serious threats that may not only violate airspace but also pose a risk to the safety of military facilities. Authorities are actively responding to such cases and investigating the circumstances to ensure the country's security.
