During the World Economic Forum in Davos, DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko is holding discussions to secure assistance for the restoration of Ukraine's energy grid, which has been severely damaged by shelling. Maksym Timchenko stated that the level of destruction to the energy system is unprecedented in modern history. He emphasized the extreme difficulty of the situation and the company's urgent need for support.
“We need help. That is precisely why we are holding numerous meetings here with energy companies and other stakeholders who can support us in this extremely complex situation. Right now, we are essentially operating in survival mode,” said Timchenko.
He also stressed that the energy grid has never before endured destruction of this magnitude in its history, making the situation difficult to comprehend not only for the public but also for energy specialists and corporate leaders.
