Where in Lviv region Caritas will provide humanitarian aid to IDPs in June

The application process for humanitarian aid for internally displaced persons has started in the Boryslav community of Lviv region. Support will be available for displaced individuals from vulnerable population categories who meet the established selection criteria. Aid distribution will begin after June 20. This was reported by Vchasni Novyny citing Caritas Boryslav.

Humanitarian aid for IDPs in Lviv region: what will be provided

The program is being implemented with the support of the Catholic hospital in the city of Gorb in Germany and aims to provide basic goods for displaced persons.

Humanitarian packages will include:

  • food packages;

  • personal hygiene kits;

  • diapers.

Assistance will be provided after the preliminary selection of applicants and document verification.

Who can apply for assistance

IDPs who registered in the Boryslav territorial community after March 1, 2022, and have not received assistance from Caritas Boryslav in 2026 can apply for support.

In addition, the applicant must belong to at least one of the following categories:

  • pregnant women and families with children under 3 years old;

  • large families;

  • single parents or guardians;

  • people with disabilities;

  • people with serious illnesses;

  • lonely pensioners over 60 years old;

  • newly arrived displaced persons who registered in 2026.

When will the distribution of humanitarian packages begin

Registration is conducted online through a special questionnaire. After processing the applications, representatives of the charitable organization will contact the selected participants and inform them of the date, place, and time of receiving assistance.

The distribution of packages will start after June 20, 2026. To receive assistance, it is necessary to provide original passport, identification code, IDP certificate, and documents confirming belonging to a vulnerable category.

It should be noted that in June the Estonian Council for Refugees and the Unity for Future fund support residents of nine regions.
