Professions with increased salaries for Ukrainians
Skilled trades are becoming increasingly lucrative in Ukraine, according to research conducted by OLX Work and the European Business Association (EBA). According to this report, 63% of companies complain about a lack of personnel in this sector, leading to a rapid increase in salaries in construction.
“Over the past four years, the incomes of construction workers have grown at an impressive rate. Bricklayers were especially impressed: their average salary increased from 15 thousand hryvnias in 2022 to 50 thousand in 2025,”
Plumbers earn up to 40 thousand hryvnias, plasterers - up to 60 thousand hryvnias, which is a significant increase compared to previous years. However, the salaries of laborers increased the slowest - from 12.5 to 22.5 thousand hryvnias.
Salary dynamics over the years:
- In 2022, the highest salaries were among facade workers, while the lowest were among laborers.
- In 2023, the largest salary increases were among bricklayers (+115%) and plumbers (+67%).
- In 2024, foremen raised their salaries the most rapidly (+64%), along with plasterers (+43%).
- In 2025, salaries continue to rise, but at a slower pace, while laborers increased their remuneration by 22%.
Currently, among the most lucrative professions in Ukraine are plasterers, facade workers, bricklayers, and foremen. Experts note that the market remains competitive and dynamic, and salaries continue to adapt to various factors such as inflation and demand for specialists in these fields.
