Ukraine has embarked on an important stage of ecological transition, having adopted a law that gives enterprises three years to transition to better management technologies and pollution prevention. However, experts warn that without necessary financial resources, this process may prove difficult. The government needs to develop mechanisms to support enterprises in transitioning to new standards to avoid the risk of deindustrialization and loss of industry.
One of the biggest challenges is investment uncertainty due to the war, lack of personnel, and the potential for the use of outdated technologies. Time will tell whether Ukraine can successfully implement new standards and ensure a sustainable ecological transition of its economy.
