The third annual Demine Ukraine Forum took place in Kyiv, bringing together over 500 participants from various fields. Minister Øleksii Sobolev noted that the state compensation program for demining costs helped farmers return nearly 10 thousand hectares of land. The expansion of the program to households and the State Land Bank will facilitate further demining of agricultural land.
UNDP Ukraine representative Auke Lutsma emphasized that humanitarian demining is an investment in Ukraine's future and its economy, not just an expense.
The forum featured the GRIT prioritization system in humanitarian demining, based on technologies from Palantir. Participants discussed international support, investments, and collaboration between the government and the private sector.
The Demine Ukraine Forum 2025 was organized by the government of Ukraine and the Center for Humanitarian Demining, with support from UNDP, Norway, and the Netherlands.
