The press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine published a video tutorial explaining to Ukrainians how to apply for a one-time payment for Independence Day.
In 2025, the process of receiving the one-time financial assistance remains the same as in the previous year. Most recipients will receive the payment automatically, but certain categories of citizens must apply to their local Pension Fund office on their own.
However, certain categories of citizens – those who are not pensioners and do not serve in the military or are not officially employed – must independently contact their local office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine to arrange for the payment.
To apply for the one-time payment, it is necessary to use the Pension Fund's online portal. Instructions for submitting the application:
- Log in to the Pension Fund website using your digital signature and click 'Enter'.
- In the section 'Communications with the Pension Fund', select 'Application for the appointment of a one-time monetary payment for Ukraine's Independence Day'.
- Fill out the electronic application form by providing your personal information and bank details.
- Confirm consent for the use of personal data and submit the completed application.
- Check the information and send the document to the Pension Fund.
Don't forget that the rules for pension calculations are also changing for millions of Ukrainians.
