In the village of Nova Chortoryia in the Zhytomyr region, a real clash occurred on December 6 between college students and a soldier from the 4th department of the Zhytomyr district center for comprehensive social support. This happened near the 'Europa' café late at night, and of course, the police intervened.
It is worth noting that the conflict had nothing to do with the performance of official duties or the work of the center for comprehensive support.
Beating and Clash
The girls claim that they were beaten and injured by the soldiers. One of them, named Anastasia, said that the man started the scandal by grabbing one of her friends by the hair. After that, he sprayed tear gas and acted in ways that annoyed her.
During the clash, more than ten girls were injured, some of them sustaining serious injuries as a result of the conflict.
The Soldier's Position
The soldier whom the students complained about is trying to dismiss the accusations, claiming that he himself became a victim of the conflict. He denies the beating and asserts that he himself was the target of the attack, and he even had tear gas sprayed at him.
There is still no official position from the 4th department of the Zhytomyr TCC and SSP, but accusations and counter-accusations are already sounding from both sides of the conflict.
The confrontation between the students and the soldier in the Zhytomyr region provoked an immediate police response and spread among local residents. So far, both sides of the incident refuse to admit their guilt, and the investigation is ongoing.
