Support for Fish Farming in Ukraine
The state has started payments as part of the program to support fish farming, providing partial compensation to enterprises in the Donetsk and Sumy regions. Two fish farming enterprises received UAH 775.1 thousand in partial state compensation. State support includes partial reimbursement of up to 30% of expenses for the acquisition and cultivation of fish stock material.
Conditions for Payments
Payments are provided to enterprises engaged in the breeding, maintenance, and cultivation of freshwater fish. The year 2025 marked the first year of implementing the financial assistance program for fish farming, aimed at supporting the development of this sector in Ukraine.
The introduction of the fish farming support program is an important step in the development of Ukraine's agricultural sector, especially in the face of economic challenges. State support can contribute not only to improving the financial situation of fish farming enterprises but also to increasing the production of freshwater fish, which will positively impact the country's food security.
The implementation of this program may also stimulate investment in fish farming, creating new jobs and increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian producers in the market.
