Cooperation Agreement Signed

The Ukrainian government and the civil society organization Protez Hub have signed a memorandum of cooperation. This partnership aims to develop inclusive services and ensure accessibility, seeking to improve how people interact with the state. This initiative will enhance services both online, through the 'Diia' platform, and offline, at Administrative Service Centers (ASCs).

Core Focus Areas of the Partnership

The collaboration will concentrate on several key areas:

  • Training ASC staff to communicate respectfully with people with disabilities and veterans, ensuring a comfortable environment for all visitors.
  • Involving people with disabilities in testing government websites to improve their digital accessibility.
  • Utilizing the real-world experience of Protez Hub ambassadors to update state standards for accessibility and barrier-free environments.

This memorandum signals the state's intent to actively consider the needs of people with disabilities when shaping public services. This move aligns with broader European standards for social inclusion and accessibility. More details about this initiative are available on the website of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The signing of this memorandum is a significant step toward building a more inclusive society where people with disabilities can freely interact with state institutions. Involving civil society organizations in the development of state standards also underscores the importance of collaboration between the government and the public to achieve shared goals in accessibility and equality.
